Run by and for the community
We operate a full library service, in partnership with Hull City Council, through over 60 Volunteer Library Assistants, with many more volunteers carrying out the huge range of other tasks required to keep the library operating, all managed by a Trustee Board of 11 local residents, library users and volunteers.

Have you signed up for our Yard Sale yet? It's on Saturday 14 June 10am - 2pm; just £5 per house to register. Booking forms available from the library - we accept cash or card.

Thank you to everyone that attending our Spring Fayre today - we hope you enjoyed it! Many thanks to Humber Wave Radio for hosting, Humberside Police and Humberside Fire & Rescue Service for attending, Be Happy Makers Market for organising the commercial stalls. Also to Hessle Superstars and Heatwave Entertainment UK for their performance which started the event in great style!![]()

None of this could take place without our wonderful volunteers who put in hours and hours of time in preparation for this event. Many thanks to everyone that helped during, before and after this event, it was lovely to have some new faces come and help too - we're really grateful as we just can't do it without you!![]()
Our next event is the West Hull Villages Scarecrow Hunt Craft Fair on Saturday 14 June 12-4pm which is on the same day as our Yard Sale; then we have Music on the Green on Saturday 5 July. Wristbands are on sale at the library during normal library opening hours - please note we SOLD OUT of gazebo wristbands at the Spring Fayre today.
