We operate a full library service, in partnership with Hull City Council, through over 60 Volunteer Library Assistants, with many more volunteers carrying out the huge range of other tasks required to keep the library operating, all managed by a Trustee Board of 11 local residents, library users and volunteers.

This month our talk covers the activities of the charity "Ladled With Love" who provide meals for the homeless people in our community. After the talk, there will be a demonstration serving of a vegan curry with rice followed by brownies for all attendees.![]()

Places for this talk are limited to 30 persons only and with few left, we recommend booking ASAP. Booking is essential, please get in touch with the library to do so. ![]()

Preparations are well underway for our Spring Fayre on Sunday 3 May 12 - 4pm but we need your help with the following:![]()

Raffle/tombola prizes![]()
Good quality second hand books ![]()
Good quality toys (particularly those for age 5-10)![]()

If you're a baker, we'd be very grateful for donations for our Cake Stall - savoury or sweet options very much appreciated. These can either be dropped off at the library on Saturday 2 May between 9.30 - 4 pm or brought to the stall on Sunday 3 May from 10am.![]()

This event is great fun but also takes a lot of hard work to get it set up/cleared away. If you're fit and healthy and could help with setting up we need help on:![]()
Saturday 2 May from 12.30 for a couple of hours![]()
Sunday 3 May 8am - 12pm to set up and 4pm - 6pm to help clear away![]()
Monday 4 May 10am - 12pm to help load the van and take equipment back and clean the library.![]()

If you can donate to the cake stall or help us with setting up/clearing away it would be very helpful if you could let us know in advance to help with our planning.
