Run by and for the community
We operate a full library service, in partnership with Hull City Council, through over 60 Volunteer Library Assistants, with many more volunteers carrying out the huge range of other tasks required to keep the library operating, all managed by a Trustee Board of 11 local residents, library users and volunteers.

Last call to sign up for our Yard Sale! You can pop into the library between 9.30 - 12.30 today to register. Maps of the houses taking part in the Yard Sale are £1 and go on sale from 9.30am tomorrow morning.
You can still sign up for our Yard Sale today between 1.30 - 5.30pm and tomorrow between 9.30 - 12.30. It's £5 to register and be featured on our map. This money goes towards the £38k we need to raise each year to keep our library open for our community.![]()

Our Yard Sale runs from 10am - 2pm
We're taking part in the West Hull Villages Scarecrow Hunt - our theme is 'Fish and Ships' - you can either look around for free or buy a map for a £1 donation to the library which includes a prize at the end.
We're co-hosting the West Hull Villages Scarecrow Hunt Craft Fair 2025 which is on 12pm - 4pm, including inflatable zone, tombola, book/jigsaw stall, craft stall, bric a brac, children's activities, commercial stalls, hot dogs, candy floss and refreshments/cakes. This event is kindly being hosted by Humber Wave Radio and includes entertainment. ![]()
We are also selling Music on the Green tickets inside the library if you haven't got yours already!
Have you got your Music on the Green tickets yet? They are available to purchase during normal library opening hours. This Saturday 14 June they will be available inside the library from 9.30am - 4pm as we are co-hosting the West Hull Villages Scarecrow Hunt Craft Fair 2025 so if you're coming to that why not also pop in and get your tickets! We accept cash and card payments. NB we no longer have any gazebo tickets left.
